Description

This is a PowerPoint of 100 days of warm ups that you can use in an art class or any class. These warmups focus on writing and critical thinking as required by the Common Core State Standards. They also help students to cite artwork. Students have a journal activity at the start of class to keep them busy while you prepare for class. You can also discuss the journal in class, as students love to talk about the artwork, and the teacher can go over the details for the day, including the objectives and homework assignments. Each slide contains artwork from a prominent artist, a question about that artwork, a place to write your goal for the day and a place to do sketchbook or homework assignments. Some of the artists include Matisse and Picasso as well as Edgar Degas, Matisse and Toulouse Lautrec. You can edit each page to change the question, goal, and homework. This is a great series of warm-ups that provide clear questions and start points for students to answer. However, I might alter the “Homework/Sketchbook:” field for use is class.

Because my spelling and standards are different in Australia, I used my own slides. Still saved me alot of time
