Ancient Greek Pottery: A Color Mixing and Symmetry Lesson

This can be used to teach Homeschool and 2nd through 5th grade students.

The students will be taught about the different kinds of Greek pottery as well as its uses in Ancient Greece. They will then make a paper amphora, a symmetrical pot made of paper, paint it in shades and tints, and add patterns to the top. These results look similar to Greek pottery, have links to Social Studies and geography as well as color mixing and art history.
