  • Art is everywhere

  • The hallway
  • The classroom bulletin board

These are THREE choices so you can choose what works best for you and your students – making it great for Any ageIt is possible to. The options are very simple. Each student receives a page from the famed masterpiece. They must color it according to the directions. When all sheets have been colored and cut, the pieces are assembled into a huge collaboration poster/mural. Campbell’s Soup cans

Colored pencils and markers in purple, red, yellow, black or both will be required. Provide a wide range of colors for students who are allowed to choose their own colors.

Large poster #1 (30 pieces), with assigned colors Each page has a color key that allows students to follow the colours. As the background color, I’ve chosen purple. If you’d like to change that simply have students exchange the “p” for whatever color you’d like the background to be. Approx. 29” x 36” (exact size will depend on your printer settings).

Poster 2 – A large poster (30 pieces), with no assigned colors. Your students can color the poster with any colors that they choose (or those you have given). Approx. 29” x 36” (exact printer size will depend on your printer settings). You will need to collaborate with your students in order for this option to work.

Poster #3 – Individual size poster (4 pieces). Use this option if you’d like your students to make many smaller size soup can posters (instead of one large poster). Each child will receive four copies. Each child would receive four pieces. You can either give colors to the entire class or allow each individual student to color their soup cans (four pages). Final size is approximately 14” x 14” (exact size will depend on your printer settings). You can then display the final results as a large collection of “Pop Art” soup cans—much like Warhol did!

This is a bonus coloring page:

These posters can be used to create group collaborations and they are very entertaining. However, students don’t get to walk away with anything tangible to show their families. To help students color, I’ve included a bonus page to print and give to them. Also, this is very helpful for students who have just finished.
