Art Lesson October Art

Art Lesson October Art

This can be used to teach 3rd through 6th grades, Homeschool and Homeschool students.

Includes: PDF, 21 pgs + powerpoint file

The optical illusion part of this lesson in art makes it a low-prep display for October. It ensures students success and inspires them to be creative. To make it a year-round activity, you can alter the colors or eliminate the spider.

This lesson includes a teacher overview, review of elements and principles, reflection sheets, rubric and detailed step-by-step illustrations. You will also find completed examples. For paper savings, both the rubric and student reflection sheets are provided in half-sheets.

You will receive a zip file containing both the PowerPoint files and a PDF copy of each sheet. As students work through the art activity, you can show them the PowerPoint slides as each student completes the step. If you don’t have access to a projector, you can use the PDF with the students to explain each step.

You can use markers or colored pencils to complete this activity. Although the lesson itself can be done in under an hour, students might need more time for coloring.

It’s a wonderful resource.

Our distance learning included a Math day. It was a lot of fun! These art activities were a huge hit with our kids. You don’t have to wait until Halloween for this spider art.
