Every craft focuses on one or more 2D shapes. Students will rotate, layer and manipulate the shapes in order to make their own picture.

I have not made it ‘easy’ for students to find and place the particular pieces.
Encourage children to flip, rotate, guess, and try to change shapes in order to make their own picture.
While patience is required on the part of both you and the student, this will lead to a deeper understanding of 2D shapes. This activity serves its purpose.

This is a great way to mix maths and Christmas. You saved me a lot of work and time, as it was not something I had to do. My students colored the pieces to make the icons. This worked great and required very little preparation. This was a wonderful activity! Thank you for all your hard work.
