The Cooking Camp for Children: Thanksgiving Treats

Cooking is a valuable life skill that can be taught to children, but it requires dedication and patience. Cooking Camp 1 provides everything that you need to teach your children how to cook. You need to practice cooking. You can’t avoid it. These family-favorite recipes were shared from my house to yours.

You can teach your children to cook or just learn some proven recipes!

Camp Cooking

The children learn one skill in cooking and practice it weekly until they are proficient. After mastering a skill they can move onto the next and continue to practice until it is perfected.

About the Objective

Children master food safety, knife skills, shopping, and meal preparation for 6 meals.

Chicken wraps, shepherd’s pie, chicken divan, sweet potato sloppy joes, baked taquitos, and gluten free pizza. These are family favorite recipes in our house.

This was purchased for fun at a community center cooking camp. They are both great cooks and loved helping coordinate the event. My kids especially enjoyed the name tags and “suit up” cards. This is a good take-away from a cooking camp. It works great for the age range I’ve planned it for. Unfortunately, I didn’t get to go as the original date was changed. This was unfortunate as the timing was perfect for the Thanksgiving cooks. So now we will be doing the first camp as well as the Thanksgiving cooking camp next fall. It was fun, creative and exactly what I wanted.

Thank you so much! We are so grateful!
