It can be used to teach Homeschool students 5th-12th grade.

Students will be taught about analogous colors. Wassily Kandinsky’s Concentric Circles inspired the art. The project can be used to help students learn color theory. The definitions can be used by students to help them with their art. After completing the worksheet, practice art and completing the assignment, they will be ready for creating a Kandinsky masterpiece. You can substitute this lesson. The lesson was originally intended for art, but it can also be used to teach color theory science, Art History and as an independent project.

You will also find the large grid labeled “color families” on the second page. It can be used with any Kandinsky lesson or color theory. See my Kandinsky color theory worksheet. Every square has a label that identifies a family of colors. The student can fill it in. You could use this as an assessment tool to assess your knowledge of color theory concepts.
