Kindness Activity “Be Kind” Kindness Poster | Great for Back to School 2021

Kindness Activity

Can be used for 1st – 8th, Homeschool students.

Includes: PDF, 54 pages

Kindness Activity. This is a great activity to build team spirit in your class. When complete, this poster says: “IN A WORLD WHERE YOU CAN BE ANYTHING BE KIND.”

Encourage kindness among students by allowing them to work together on this unique 3D collaboration poster. When the viewer interacts with the poster using agamograph, the complete phrase is revealed.

This project is easy for teachers, but fun for children.

It’s the perfect activity for your class during…

  • Kindness Week
  • Valentine’s Day
  • Earth Day
  • Back to School

…or just about any time of the year.

This project is a “3 way” agamograph, which consists of 3 images that have been spliced together and a collaboration postcard. The uniqueness of this project comes from the fact that I invented it. It is hard to beat the “wow!” factor at the end, when children can move from one side to the other and see the images changing.

Great for ANY age and designed so that younger students can enjoy the wow factor of my agamographs.

It may sound complicated to explain the 3-way agamograph but it is very easy! Although it may seem difficult (that’s what makes it unique), it’s actually very simple. It’s up to you to put it all together. That’s it–I’ve done all the rest! I have broken it down step-by–and made a video showing you how to put it together.

When completed, the final poster measures approximately 26×28 inches.

The final poster could be used to decorate your school’s bulletin board, hallway wall or anywhere else in the school.

  • 28 pieces
  • All written instructions for students and teacher
  • Instructional video for the teacher on how to put the poster together
  • The final poster is approximately 26” x 28”

What is an Agamograph?

An agamograph is an image series that changes at different angles. Yaacov Agam (Israeli sculptor), was born in 1928. He is still alive today (2019). The artist is well-known for his optical and kinetic artwork. To create his agamographs, he used “lenticular printing.”

Although the process of lenticular printing is technical and very complicated, I have created kid-friendly agamograph designs that will result in a piece of artwork that won’t soon be forgotten! The images have already been “spliced” together, and each space has been assigned a color. Students can move from one side of the page to the other, and the images will change.

Jenny K’s 2-way Agamographs: I have created many “2-way”agamograph (2 images spliced together) projects for teachers to use in the classroom. This idea was introduced to Teachers Pay Teachers many years ago. You might have already tried one of my other agamograph resources (thanks!). If you have not and are interested in viewing those, you can see all that I offer HERE.

Jenny K’s Collaboration Posters: I believe in collaboration – teachers and students love creating my collaboration posters because of the significant impact on their classroom community and their school-wide community. I love the fact that this resource combines my agamographs with my collaboration posters. You can see all of my historical collaboration portraits HERE and my seasonal and holiday-related collaboration posters/door posters HERE.

This was used as a back-to-school activity. I stressed the importance of kindness, cooperation and being a good friend through read-alouds. This activity was in line with the theme for the week.

My students absolutely love agamographs. I like to give them directions and watch them try to figure out what the final picture will be as they are all working on them 🙂
I love the message on this one, we will keep it up as a display in the hallway. Thank you!
