Description

Crash! Boom! Pow!

This handout provides a brief overview of Roy Lichtenstein’s famed pop art works. This handout focuses on Roy Lichtenstein’s most notable works: flat colors and patterns; graphic black outline; and the use of primary colors.

It introduces students to action words (onomatopoeia). Students will select an example of onomatopoeia to base their artwork on, with a focus on Lichtenstein’s characteristics. This handout contains the guidelines. The project is simple enough to be completed in one day. However, it can be expanded with more detail for a more detailed project. This is a simple way to include ELA in your art class.
