Modern Movement Cards for Big Kids

Modern Movement Cards for Big Kids

Can be used for Not Grade Specific students.

Includes: PDF, 12 pages

These movement cards will appeal to all ages! The set comes with 30 different cards with movement prompts to get kids moving, including current popular dances, simple body percussion, animals, sports, and everyday objects. Each card is designed to be performed in a slow, steady motion. All ages will enjoy the graphics. The possibilities are endless for using these cards- you can find a description of the “Disco Duel” I use them for in this blog post.

For distance learning: print out cards and use them to demonstrate different movement activities in a video or live video class session, send home cards for students to use for movement activities at home, upload them to online classroom platforms to use as a slideshow with music etc.

Included in this download:

PDF version movement cards, including blank versions to write on

PowerPoint version cards, so you can add your own text and images before printing

Teacher notes, including game suggestions, directions for assembly, and more

Movements are designed to be accessible for students as young as kindergarten but “cool” enough for students in middle or high school. Choose the best ones for your classroom and customize them to your needs.

I love that I can use these for a variety of topics. They have been used to teach tempo but I plan on bringing them back for form, dynamics and other music elements. They are great for keeping students engaged during lessons.

It’s an incredible resource! It is a great resource! I’ve used it online as well as in person. It is amazing to see my clients decide how to do the move I show.
