Do your students struggle to understand multiple meaning words or homonyms? It is important to show them how to use context clues in order to understand word meaning. This skill is the main focus of these task cards.
Each card has a sentence with a word that can be used in more than one way. Students must analyze the sentence context and determine the meaning of each underlined term to choose the correct definition. These cards feature a fun ice-cream theme. Answer choices can be marked with either a strawberry or chocolate scoop.
