Ojibwa Dream Catchers inspire this simple but enjoyable art lesson. Discover the story of Dream Catchers. So what is a name catcher? It symbolically stops gossip and bullying. As part of your anti-bullying program, this is a fun and simple art activity.

This project was completed with middle school students. It was very simple to use. The entire process takes 2 classes. The lesson began with the students creating the template. Old lids were used. We used old lids. These instructions are detailed. The lesson was very helpful and I found the Dream Catchers to be really interesting. It could be used every year during the autumn.

As part of Global Read Aloud, we read The Marrow Thieves. This was an excellent resource that helped us wrap up the unit. They are so lovely to display.
