This resource is also part of a huge money saving Third Grade Writing Bundle! It is a bundle that currently contains 34 resources covering narrative, opinion, informational, and creative writing for the third grade classroom. This bundle will include any additional writing resources that I create.

For each of the 10 high interest prompts in this resource students are asked to…

  • state their opinion
  • give at least 3 reasons to support their opinion
  • restate their opinion in closing.

Students are asked to highlight the relevant parts of their responses using the coloring code. The students have a little space to express their opinion.

These prompts are great for practice and review, as well as for those who are just starting to learn about opinion writing.

These prompts are great for preparing for tests!
