Aahoy, mates! Similar to “I Have/Who Has”, this drama circle activity features a pirate theme. It’s a great activity for any occasion, including drama, morning meetings and oral language exercises. The 40 cards are arranged in a sequential order, each one containing a different instruction. The students form a circle and perform their scenario. Each student acts out one card. The next student in the sequence begins acting out the card. Continue the game until you have acted out your last card.

This is what I would like to do for Talk Like a Pirate Day next year.

My students like doing drama circles. They didn’t enjoy the story. The story behind the drama was not clear to them. Perhaps a summary at the start would help.
