Principles of Design Challenge – Art Lessons with Handouts and Activities

It can be used to help students in 5th-12th grades.

Included: PDF, 25 Pages

You are looking for new ways to share the Principles of Design with your students? I’ve developed informational pages illustrating the Principles with visual and written information. The principle will be used by students to create designs.

It is magazine-style and features activities that students can participate in. The activities require students to study the art in the magazine closely and to use their newly acquired knowledge.

This lesson is about principles and includes two art challenges that will challenge students to show new knowledge.

Challenge 1– Students cut, arrange, and paste pre-made designs illustrating some understanding of the concepts.

Challenge 2Students can create and implement their designs in an art piece.
